John’s notes;"Guitar Tango" is an instrumental tune originally recorded in France in 1961 as "Guitare-Tango”. It was written by Georges Liferman, Norman Maine and Jacques Plaint and there are many various recorded versions. My arrangement is an example of creating a similar melody to the original using a mixture of ‘chord tones’ and the tunes fundamental key of D major.I’ve arranged this to be suitable for electric and acoustic guitars. So…Grab a partner and lets dance!!
Learning and playing the melody (instrumental)of tunes is essential for practicing your scales & soloing techniques, in an enjoyable, practical way!
