John’s notes;I wrote this short tune (Approx’ 1 minute) as an introduction to playing a slow, relaxing, ‘Jazzy Blues’ piece. For members who like music theory;Targeting the b3, b5 and b7 (flatterned 3rd, flatterened 5th and flatterned 7th) notes of the scales associated with the underlying chords provides the distinctive sound of Jazz, Gospel and the Blues music. On the TAB sheet I’vehighlighted these notes in blue. These ‘altered’ scale notes are often found in Heavy Metal, Rock, Blues, Gospel, Film Trailor scores, and even Classical music.Notice most of the chords are ‘dominant 7ths’ (root - 3rd 5th & b7).
